This fall, 100 students entered the Christine E. Lynn College of Nursing’s Bachelor of Science in Nursing Freshman Direct Admit track with an average GPA of 4.19—the highest in the program’s history. The program received more than 1,000 applications for the incoming class.

“This year’s applicant pool was exceptionally strong, and it is wonderful to welcome students who have already demonstrated such dedication and academic achievement,” said Michelle Broadbent, DNP, assistant dean for undergraduate programs. “We look forward to helping them build on that foundation as they pursue their dreams of becoming nurses.”

The Freshman Direct Admit track is a full-time, four-year program for students entering �̲�ֱ�� Atlantic directly from high school. Students take nursing courses beginning in their first semester, becoming part of the college community from the start of their undergraduate education.

The curriculum combines nursing, science, and general education coursework with hands-on learning and clinical experiences, preparing graduates to take the National Council Licensure Examination for registered nurses and enter professional practice.
