Abstract
Wing Walker Engineering is tasked with designing a maintenance and jet hangar at Merritt Island Airport. The design consists of relocating the taxi lane and creating a parking lot. As the site already has flooding issues and the new construction will cause an increase in impervious area, a new drainage system will be added. Community Benefit: The project’s new drainage system benefits the community by decreasing the amount of chemicals entering the waterways and enhances wildlife habitat.
