Graduate Student Receives Three Awards at the Â̲èÖ±²¥ Press Club Awards
Monday, Feb 02, 2026Graduate Student Mary Rasura and her contributions to the student publication OutFAU were recognized this past Saturday night at the Â̲èÖ±²¥ Press Club Awards. The Â̲èÖ±²¥ Press Club Awards are professional-level journalist awards where OutFAU and their journalists were competing alongside working journalists from newsrooms across Â̲èÖ±²¥. The following are their recognitions:

– Third Place, Writing (Education News), Class C – Gabriela Quintero, Mary Rasura, Clinton Engelberger

– Third Place, Special Sections, Class C (for our Body Issue) – Mary Rasura, CJ Walden, Lewis De Berry

Their "Body Issue" was a visually driven issue that focused on body image and personal features from LGBTQ+ FAU students and alumni. This issue also earned Third Place, Photography (Feature Photo Essay), Class C, awarded to Carina Mask.
